Loxley International Foundation announces the introduction of
Loxley Virtual Social Club
This virtual club is “For Seniors By Seniors”.
As Canada’s population ages, along with an increased life expectancy, we have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for older adults across the province. Ensuring older Ontarians remain independent and engaged and are able to live safely. LIF has been providing in-person services to Seniors for the past 7 years in partnership with the City of Markham and Aaniin Community Centre.
These services include:
Classes targeting Physical, Mental and Social Wellbeing.
Events focusing on the social integration and mental stimulation of Seniors.
Information sessions presented by experts in their fields relevant to Seniors’ needs.
Social activities that encourage Seniors’ participation.
Skill-based games & Wellness sessions for Seniors.
Purpose of this virtual club is to create an eco-system where organizations can provide a unique service to their patrons in a fun, challenging and aspirational format.
Skill-based games offer a number of benefits:
Entertainment.
Mind stimulation.
Players to showcase their knowledge & skill.
Build team spirit.
Help with self-esteem.
Help seniors overcome isolation.
Loxley will schedule a number of games during the week in tournament style format.
Players will win exciting prizes.
Games are played in a virtual game room.
All players within each game will be awarded points based on their knowledge and adroitness.
